Hi,
I am trying to login onto the remote machine. But the remote machine donot allow me to do this. I am getting error as follows :

Hi,
Is the remote machine running Gentoo?
I had the same problem yesterday on two Gentoo machines here, and from doing lsof | grep sshd it seemed that sshd was being run from /var/tmp/portage
rather than /usr/sbin - I think i re-emerged ssh and restarted the sshd service a few times and it sorted it out.

From the recent openssh-4.3_p2-r1 update messages:
* Remember to merge your config files in /etc/ssh/ and then
* restart sshd: '/etc/init.d/sshd restart'.
