Hi,

is it possible to login only once if an ebuild needs more than one file?
Because some mirrors have restricted number of ftp logins and if the
connection is not closed the server will refuse to login.

I thought/believe portage only downloads files sequentially. Thus if you don't 
use a download manager that opens multiple connections (eg. prozilla) it 
should work.
