My home/end keys didn't work. The default configuration is horrible, and they won't change it since compatibility with stone age and all zsh features switched off is a design goal of the defaults. I already wrote on their list that they are scaring new users this way, but they don't care. However, the new-users module should give you already quite useful instructions, and once you are really familiar with the configuration possibilities, you will see that it is *much* superior to bash. (Of course, you can bind any keys, in contrast to bash even to shell functions - there is a whole interface for it). In fact, I do not know a single feature of bash which is not available (and usually better) in zsh, while for the converse there are hundreds of examples (especially if you use extensions like zsh-syntax-highlighting or auto-fu-zsh which make use of the possibilities mentioned above). You might want to try zshrc-mv from the mv overlay which is intended to be used with your favorite bashrc (i.e. it intentionally sets only zsh-specific features and not bashrc-features like "ordinary" aliases).
