Interestingly, you used "var" instead of "usr". From earlier, Martin used
"PORTAGE_PROFILE=/usr/portage/profiles/$PROFILE eix -c --system"
Granted "$PROFILE" needed expansion, but he put "/usr" and now
you have it working with "/var" at the head of the path-string.
Interestingly enough, "/var/portage" is not even a dir, yet the
path-string you used does work.
' PORTAGE_PROFILE=/var/portage/profiles/default/linux/arm/13.0/armv7a eix -c
--system'
Which does work nicely.....
Care to explain?
