Since I have a new interest in ZFS, has
anyone tried the latest liveDVD with ZFS?

Any tips on a quick and dirty way to install off
of this liveDVD with ZFS would be appreciated:
dd onto a drive?

From a usbstick
# dd if=image.iso of=/dev/sdb

Will this work? It presupposes that I
set up a sata drive (stb) with ZFS.

Any guidelines or instructions on putting
ZFS onto a black sata drive, would be keen.

Are you not maybe making this more complicated than it needs to be?

The link is for The End of the World edition - AFAIK it's dual-purpose
and can do installs. Surely you just find and click the big
Install button and let it do what it needs to do?

This comes from too many years of education, statistically. Now
that I''m an independent consultant,  we call this sort of thing

I went to bed during the download, so later on today, we'll give
her (end of the world-baby) a spin.......

PS, I sure hope she does a "Mayan Love Dance" during the installation.

Now you are being silly. There's no dancing involved. What you get is a
giant planet sized object suddenly appears in the sky [1] appearing out
of nowhere and threatens to smash you and the DVD to bits. Sheesh, I
thought everyone knew *that* :-)


[1] Where it comes from is uncertain, let's just call it $MAGIC[2]
[2] Or call it "narrativium" for those sensible souls living on the Disc
