Hi,

All old ebuilds are always available in CVS: 
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/www-client/chromium/?hideattic=0, 
which you could put in a local overlay.

Don't forget to file a bug so the science team knows about the breakage! :-)
