You can create a binary package on your desktop if you already have LO installed with: quickpkg --include-config=y app-office/libreoffice The package will be created in the "packages" directory inside the portage directory. You can copy that directory to the laptop and emerge the binary package of LO there with: emerge -K app-office/libreoffice The USE flags of the package have to match with those in your desktop.
