You might want to try the proprietary drivers with XGL, since the seperate XGL server along with the new mesa provides much of the stuff that's missing in current driver implementations. If that doesn't work, I'd say to just wait it out. On 11/2/06, oskar kapala wrote: > > Jason Weisberger wrote: > > The composite extension is not necessary for AIGLX or XGL. Thanks,

Actually I did follow that howto. Well, after disabling this option I
had to link the fglrx_dri.so from /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/ to
/usr/lib/dri/.

And now I.m getting message (:Xorg.0.log):
(EE) AIGLX error: dlsym for __driCreateNewScreen_20050727 failed
(/usr/lib64/dri/fglrx_dri.so
: undefined symbol: __driCreateNewScreen_20050727)
(EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
(II) Loading local sub module "GLcore"

Probably this means that really my card is not supporting aiglx.

BTW, I don't have
Load "GLcore"
in my xorg.conf

Thanks again,
oskar
