G'day folks;
FYI - previous issues:
Technical Caveat #1
fglrx only supports 16 / 24 bit colour depth, therefore within the Xorg
Config I had to add DefaultDepth 24 the "Screen0" section & subsections.
Technical Caveat#2
xf86-drivers/mouse and xf86-drivers/kyd needed to be recompiled with the
emerge of ati-drivers (in fact I had to re-emerge Xorg, Xfce and all XF86
drivers, there's a note about this in the xorg emerge however as a general
rule we should consider adding them as a dependancy to prevent this from
confusing people.)
There's a lot of chatter online about mice and keyboard's not working after
an Xorg upgrade, this is why.
And as always thanks again everyone; hopefully it won't freeze and I won't
be bleeding too much.
How long and what's required before we may consider this "Stable"?
Regards,

emm - no. you had to rebuild the mouse/keyboard driver because of the X
update. Not because of ati-drivers.

Yes that's correct it's an Xorg related issue;
I'm just letting everyone know that when you update your drivers; make sure
you update or xorg installation, your Xorg drivers and what not.
I also had to re-install Xfce (upgraded to 4.6) and as a result of this
upgrade I had to install the gnome and tango x icon themes, because the
launcher icons would not appear.
