Hello.
I have installed Gentoo 2004.3 from live cd on 2-cpu Compaq 'Professional Desktop AP400'.
[dmesg's and other info attached below the post]
When I run shutdown -r now from Live CD the system warm-reboot's without any
problems.
Unfortunately, when I've built a mandatory kernel, when doing shutdown the
system goes to appropriate runlevel, unmount's disk's etc., the screen goes
blank and the machine hangs, until i manually power it off and back on.
I spent several hours trying to tune options in kernel config's power management
and kernel's 'reboot' parameter with no good effects.
Where can i found what configuration/sources/patches were used to build kernel
on 2004.3 live cd?
Can You help me/point to doc/etc. ? I've ran out of ideas.
I'll provide any extra info on demand.

Only thing that looks close to a workaround is the bugzilla link where
someone says to put 'reboot=bios' in /boot/grub/grub.conf
If that doesn't work, it looks like you're chasing down a tricky bug. Be
sure to post whatever solution you find.
