Hi Guys,

I emerged world yesterday and I got the following problem:

--------------------------------

  * Starting nifd ...
/sbin/start-stop-daemon: Unable to start /usr/bin/nifd: No such file
or directory (No such file or directory)
  * Failed to start nifd
                                                    [ !! ]
  * ERROR: cannot start mDNSResponder as nifd could not start

-------------------------------

Does anybody have a clue how to sort this out?

Thanks a lot!
Goran.

Does /usr/bin/nifd actually exist? What does ldd /usr/bin/nifd
report? How about "equery check net-misc/howl"?
