I am now using a VESA-compatible modeline for 1280x1024@75 (not sure about the last one). I just pasted it from ddcxinfo-knoppix, knowing the monitor would work with these settings. One more question, though. If I switch back to my older, smaller monitor and forget to change the modeline, will it get fried? I seem to see this warning quite often.
