Piece 'o cake really, I went here:

kernel.xc.net/html/linux-2.6.30/x86

and followed the default settings if the "help" seemed too obscure or
my own hardware setup decided my choice

Still didn't work though, kernel panics at the same spot with the same message.

I attach my kern config as a last resort
