Hi All,

I'm a complete pcmcia and WLAN noob, and cat get my compaq WL110 WLAN

absydos adam # /etc/init.d/pcmcia start
 * PCMCIA support detected
 * Starting pcmcia ...
cardmgr[17282]: no sockets found!
 * cardmgr failed to start. Make sure that you have PCMCIA
 * modules built or support compiled into the kernel

Here's my kernel config;
absydos adam # zgrep -i pcmcia /proc/config.gz
# Bus options (PCI, PCMCIA, EISA, MCA, ISA)
# PCCARD (PCMCIA/CardBus) support
# CONFIG_PCMCIA_DEBUG is not set
CONFIG_PCMCIA=m

CONFIG_PCMCIA_IOCTL=y
CONFIG_PCMCIA_PROBE=y
# CONFIG_PARPORT_PC_PCMCIA is not set

# CONFIG_PCMCIA_SPECTRUM is not set
# CONFIG_PCMCIA_ATMEL is not set
# CONFIG_PCMCIA_WL3501 is not set
# PCMCIA network device support
CONFIG_NET_PCMCIA=y
# CONFIG_PCMCIA_3C589 is not set

# CONFIG_PCMCIA_SMC91C92 is not set
# CONFIG_PCMCIA_XIRC2PS is not set
# CONFIG_PCMCIA_AXNET is not set
# PCMCIA character devices
# PCMCIA devices

and the modules;
absydos adam # lsmod | grep pcmcia
pcmcia                 27684  1 orinoco_cs
pcmcia_core            31632  2 orinoco_cs,pcmcia
