Audio over HDMI is not a requirement of the HDMI spec, it's an option. You might want to look at the specs for your card to see if NVidia included it in the chipset. Graphics adapters intended for use in Bloomberg Stations might not include it. Typically lspci | grep Audio should tell you something. Audio over HDMI is not a requirement of the = HDMI spec, it's an
option.
