Nice that you could solve it!

There is already a report on bugs.gentoo.org which unfortunately can't be found with a s= earch for "breeze" as it's state is "RESOLVED TEST-REQUE= ST".
The reporter never came back to confirm th= at reemerging kdeclarative solved the issue.

The file causing the problem belongs to=C2=A0 kde-frameworks/kdeclarative :=

=C2=A0 root:586 ~> equery belongs /usr/lib64/libKF5Declarative.so.5
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 kde-frameworks/kdeclarative-5.50.0 (/usr/lib64/libKF5Declarat= ive.so.5.50.0)
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 kde-frameworks/kdeclarative-5.50.0 (/usr/lib64/libKF5Declarat= ive.so.5 -> libKF5Declarative.so.5.50.0)

I updated it the previous weekend :

=C2=A0 root:587 ~> eix kdeclar
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 [I] kde-frameworks/kdeclarative
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 Available versions:=C2=A0 (5) 5.50.0(5/5.50) ~5.51.0(5= /5.51) {debug doc}
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 Installed versions:=C2=A0 5.50.0(5/5.50)([2018-10-13 1= 1:50:09])(-debug -doc)

So I just tried the obvious & re-merged Kdeclarative.
After I did that, Breeze + the other=C2=A0 5=C2=A0 pkgs merged successfully= .
Somewhere in the toils of the ebuilds, there's a missing requirement, but if anyone else runs into this, it's now on record here.

I would have worked this out for myself,
if I had known there cb=C2=A0 > 1=C2=A0 'Error' in emerge output= .
Thanks to you both for educating me : I'll add a note to my help files.=

(Big smile)
