Actually, it's pretty stable. It doesn't have much customization available (to be honest, I think you can only customize the background image), but the shell and the applications are stable. I really like it. However, if you only want to "try it out", maybe it's not worth the effort of installing from the overlay and all the unmasking and compiling required.
