Why is the udisks USE flag masked for gvfs? Try to emerge -C
sys-fs/udisks:0, and reemerge gvfs with USE="-gdu udisks". If you get
to emerge gvfs with the udisks USE flag and without the gdu one, I
believe your problem will go away.
