Subject: [gentoo-user] CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING ... yes or no?
Date: Fri, 12 Aug 2011 15:48:06 +0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAA2qdGWrNLqHGPOrPVbeigCJCQ3FWxaf7R1t80odPvAeLR1y9A@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Okay, the help page for CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING says:
... Hopefully
this algorithm is so good that allowing gcc 4.x and above to make the
decision will become the default in the future. Until then this option
is there to test gcc for this.
So, should I set it to "Y" or "N"? What will be the effect(s) beside a
smaller kernel?
