I am also having this smtp authentication problem though I am using Courier (IMAP) and not dovecot. It is driving me crazy. What I have done in order to be able to send mail is to use my ISP's smtp server but I see how some folks wouldn't want their ISP's servers to be present in their email headers. I hope someone is able to make a suggestion soon, David _________________________________________________________________ Stay in touch with old friends and meet new ones with Windows Live Spaces http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwsp0070000001msn/direct/01/?href=http://spaces.live.com/spacesapi.aspx?wx_action=create&wx_url=/friends.aspx&mkt=en-us -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
