Among the things I've just learned: 1) There are containers 2) Codec != container 3) Video and Audio are encoded one from column A and one from column B. I hope this gives you an idea of what a newb I am. Please calibrate responses accordingly. My friend is pretty sure my problem is the video H.264 codec. -- Kevin O'Gorman, PhD --0015175ca7f650481a048df64726 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Mplayer comes with a program called mencoder, which will do your vide= o encoding. Its a bit more "hands on" but it is excellent once yo= u learn it.

IIRC, isnt MP4 just a container? what are the video codecs and audio = codecs in the file? If they are 264 and mp3, you should be able to use HTML= 5 for them natively.

MP4 is actually gaining alot of support in many OSes due to it being part o= f the HTML5 spec.

[major snippage]

Well, there you go.=A0 Among = the things I've just learned:
1) There are containers
2) Codec != =3D container
3) Video and Audio are encoded one from column A and one f= rom column B.

I hope this gives you an idea of what a newb I am.=A0 Please calibrate = responses accordingly.=A0 My friend is pretty sure my problem is the video = H.264 codec.
