most of kde?
there is only one(!) kde-package. kdelibs. That is not 'most of KDE'. kde-env
is just a bunch of files. from esearch: Sets up some env.d files for KDE
And about xine - you don't need xine. you can use gstreamer, if you want. xine
is just the easiest to use and best performing engine.
