Wong way round. There is no dev/sound/{audio,mixer,etc} therefore no
need for udev to create /dev/sound.

Which modules? /dev/sound is OSS not ALSA, have you enabled OSS emulation
for ALSA, both in the kernel and in /etc/modules.d/alsa?
