anyone using media-video/usb-pwcx?
I know all about the closed source controversy, but I"m just trying to get ti
to load. I see that the pwc.c module in 2.4.26 still has the hooks for pwcx,
but I get this error:
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/usb/pwcx-i386.o
depmod: pwc_unregister_decompressor
depmod: pwc_register_decompressor
nm shows:
oberon: 3% nm pwc.o | grep decompress

00000020 R __kstrtab_pwc_register_decompressor_Rsmp_b96c2d3b

00006180 T pwc_register_decompressor_Rsmp_b96c2d3b
000061e0 T pwc_unregister_decompressor_Rsmp_f9a969b5
I'm guessing the problem is kernel versioning (CONFIG_MODVERSIONS) and the
binary module being built without it.
can anyone confirm that?
Is there a work around other than turning off CONFIG_MODVERSIONS?
