Hi all!
I'm not sure this is right place to ask... but I try.
So my gentoo is freshly installed and I want to start eclipse.
Eclipse is installed from portage (3.2.1-r3) another eclipse is
downloaded eclipse.org (this is Eclipse Europe).
The installed Eclipse from portage use flags:
cairo opengl seamonkey
So I started and few seconds later crash the eclipse. If I start from
console this is the message in both case - installed Eclipse from
portage and downloaded Eclipse.

Ehh... I was a little bit nervous.
Do you wanto to see the content this file? Do you understand what is it?
So I tried more and once xpcom problem is resolved but UTF-16.so (it
belongs glibc package) is.
I have to re-emerge glibc?
I started download NEtBeans (because I haven't got time. I have to
write my thesis and this job with gvim - i like it very much - will be
difficult.
Thank you for the help!

Hi list,
I have using suPHP compiled in mode-paranoid. Apache says:
[Wed Oct 01 21:02:29 2008] [error] [client 1.2.3.4] SecurityException in
Application.cpp:162: Calling user is not webserver user!
how can I disable checking this?
Thanks

Maybe I will, maybe I won't :-)
But the output clearly says that more info is in that file. If I don't grasp
it someone else surely will. If it's huge, trim it to include only the last
run of Eclipse.
One thing we certainly need to help with your problem is an error message that
points to the cause. You haven't provided one yet.

You are throwing faeces at the wall and hoping that it sticks; wild guessing
at the possible cause isn't going to help much. Remerging glibc will take 2
hours and give you a set of files that is probably identical to the set you
currently have...

I hope I need'nt remerge the glibc.
Now run:
revdep-rebuild --library=libxpcom_core.so
and remerging xulrunner and seamonkey.
At the weekend I will remerging the hole system because I have another
problems.
But now make me nervous the non working eclipse.
The 3.4 Eclipse is working fine but i can install PDT only 3.3 eclipse.
Maybe I should drink a beer or go to bed.
Once again: thank you for your help.

i had the same problem and the same version Eclipse. My solution was using
xulrunner1.8 instead of 1.9.
every time Eclipse starts, it will pop up a web-browser window, i guess it
invoke that file which belongs to xulrunner but failed.
maybe you can try this...
