Subject: [gentoo-user] Understanding emerge -v output: Why are some USE flags in brackets ()?
Date: Sun, 03 Sep 2006 15:27:51 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <96459383.vFnzYCVaON@m-id.message-center.info> (raw)
Hi!
I ran emerge -vp dvdrip and got:
[ebuild U ] media-video/dvdrip-0.98.1 [0.97.10] USE="(-cdr%) fping%* (-gnome%*) hal%* (-minimal%) mplayer ogg (-rar%*) -subtitles -vcd% vorbis%* -xine% xvid" 0 kB
Why are some of those USE flags, like cdr or gnome, set in brackets, like
so: (-cdr%)?
Thanks,
Alexander Skwar
