ip link set master br0 dev eth0
in the output of 'ip link' and 'ip addr' you'll see that eth0 shows
'master br0'

I just added 'ip link set master'
I agree it would be good if netifrc and other wiki documents converted
to iproute2 to replace brctl commands.
