Subject: [gentoo-user] Closing message of emerge sync confusing
Date: Sat, 27 Aug 2005 07:45:41 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87slwvr1je.fsf@newsguy.com> (raw)
After running an emerge sync, I see a message at the conclusion that
says:
* An update to portage is available. It is _highly_ recommended
* that you update portage now, before any other packages are updated.
* Please do so and then update ALL of your configuration files.
What does this mean... I though I had just updated portage. Or is a
sync something different than an update?
