It works without a problem on w$. On my gentoo I installed wpa_supplicant with the following item in the conf file: network={ ssid="Universite Paul Cezanne" identity="mylogin" password="mypassword" priority=5 } Here mylogin and password are also (of course) what I enter to access the network when on w$. When I type "iwconfig" I obtain this: eth1 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"Universite Paul Cezanne" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: 00:12:DA:AE:5A:50 Bit Rate=54 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm Retry limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Power Management:off Link Quality=91/100 Signal level=-37 dBm Noise level=-80 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:5350 Missed beacon:0 Seems to indicate I am actually connected? But then I can't access the network (firefox doesn't find anything). Maybe it the identity/password which is not correct? Thanks for any help, -- Jean -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
