[gentoo-user] Q about baselayout

Hi,

being relatively new to GenToo, I wondered
what the sys-apps/baselayout package
does and what will happen if I update
this.
Where could I have found an answer to this question
without taking your time here.

baselayout contains runscript of gentoo
so update it could be for you an improvement in management of starting  
programs (like network, lvm ...)
I suggest to update, and you etc-update to show what file will change in  
/etc

update eye closed all /etc/init.d
check diff for /etc/conf.d and integrate new think if you think it's a  
good think

so have fun

baselayout).

equery files baselayout
(emerge gentoolkit if you don't have equery).
