The "unknown-block(0,0)" usually means you didn't build the drivers
for your disk system into the kernel.  Maybe you built them as
modules?  If you need help here, post the outputs of lspci -v and
'grep -v -e"^#" -e "^$" /usr/src/linux/.config'
