A little more
Doing a
dmesg | grep -i print
drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: v0.13: USB Printer Device Class driver
shows me the previous. I am on a parallel port.

Did you configure a printer in (I assume) cups? If so, what does "lpq
-P <printer_name>" report?
If you still need to setup a printer in cups, you should be able to do
so through its web interface at http://127.0.0.1:631/admin.
