[gentoo-user] Printing

Good Morning All:

I have installed Cups and gotten it all set up, and I can print test
pages from the web interface, but I cannot seem to print from
applications -- like firefox.  I am not sure what to do to make it work
right -- the installed printers are just not there

Can you print to a file, and then print that with lpr?

Which version of firefox?

I don't use it much but have it installed. Still version 1.5.0.4 (not 
1.5.0.5). The print dialog clearly shows my cups printers.

Just a thought - check to see if the printer was defined as default
during setup. If not, mark your printer as default. That alone would
cause other applications not to work.
