Well, I've learned a few things today, though I imagine I'll have forgotten
them by tomorrow. :-(
I did my best to separate what Alexis contributed into its target files, and I
think it's now working from a local repo. At least I can --sync and --update
boinc to -r2 without errors.
However - stopping boinc still takes 60 seconds, with the differencec that I
don't now see the trail of dots to show me how much longer I have to wait.
Is that period hard-coded into the start/stop mechanism of openrc?
