If I do that with a simple 'reboot' command, I lose all my desktop contents. Not surprising, as KDE is not shutting itself down but having the rug yanked out from under it. Is there a way to pass a shutdown command to KDE over SSH? Google doesn't help me much, though it has a good deal of stuff on scripting inside KDE. -- Regards, Peter.
