I emerged gentoo-sources==4.5.1.
I believe this is the related commit:
ALSA: hda - Fix regression of monitor_present flag in eld proc file
This can be wrong, but anyway, I listed some facts supporting the
hypothesis of a problem in the 4.5.1 version.
