Correct, there are still way too many packages requiring python-2.7 that don't support python-3 at all. I deliberately keep this box on ~arch so I set the variables for libreoffice in package.use and a world update is now running. Wanting to know more about the subject, I found https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Python/PYTHON_TARGETS which more or less states that to fix issues like this, put it in package.use -- Alan McKinnon alan.mckinnon@gmail.com
