I just wanted to mention it in case its existence had slipped your
mind. I know when the time came, I switched from udev to eudev and it
has worked fine for my desktop. I plug in cameras, USB sticks, printers
and other goodies which is likely something you don't do on a server.
After reading about all the troubles others have had, I'm glad I
switched. My network still has the same name and all too. Still
crossing fingers tho.
I just wasn't sure how compatible eudev would be with a hardened profile
is all.
Best of luck with the upgrade tho.
