I read, I think on this list, where someone had to disable one driver for the correct driver to work. You may want to go here: http://kmuto.jp/debian/hcl/ Get the driver list from that and try it. On that site, you can use lspci or look up by model brand on the left. This is weird. If I think of anything else, I'll post but I'm sort of stumped. My previous post always gets me to a console login if nothing else. Once you get that, you can work out the rest. One other thought, you tried a even more recent kernel version?
