No clue what's its name in cpuinfo but since you are running something newer than a P3 it should be a safe bet. PS: Have to tried mplayer2? It's mostly compatible but offers no mencoder support but you can install mplayer to get that. It has better threading support and some other minor improvements. Regards, Florian Philipp
