managed mode works perfectly.  Here's my situation:

managed mode: perfect
monitor mode with net.wlan0 started: perfect
monitor mode with net.wlan0 stopped: no airodump-ng results

I'd like to get airodump-ng results without starting net.wlan0 for
situations when I don't have an AP to associate with.
