That way if you have the same issue, I can tell you what I did to fix it. I don't think downgrading is recommended. I also had trouble with kernels I built using gcc 4.3 as well. First compile would not recognize my IDE drive controller and would not completely boot up. The next had other issues so I had to go back to my old kernel. Those seem to compile fine with gcc 4.1 tho. I have not tested this by booting them. I been recompiling everything again. Dale :-) :-)
