I use KDE 3.5.5 as well and no problems here. There has to be something different between us. I'll help all I can to find out what that difference is, provided someone will give me commands to use. ;-) Dale :-) :-) --------------010007030509010102020108 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-3 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-MIME-Autoconverted: from 8bit to quoted-printable by robin.gentoo.org id kAHMOcwl006916 Gian Domeni Calgeer wrote:

I have found today that I cannot use the xine engine=
 with amarok
anymore, I have recently updated kde and gcc [stable] while may/may
not be related however because I rarely reboot it could have been a
while since the offending package was merged.
The error message I recieve when trying to load the xine engine is
"/usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/libamarok_xine-engine.so no such file or dir"

Hi

Since I upgraded KDE, I also have this problem, so it is likely that it i=
s
related to the KDE 3.5.5 upgrade.

Gian

BTW: I also re-emerged amarok and run revdep-rebuild, but without success.

Gian

Just to ask the obvious, you did check to make sure the USE didn't change right?=A0 Mine works and has this USE info:

root@smoker / # emerge -pv amarok

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild=A0=A0 R=A0=A0 ] media-sound/amarok-1.4.4=A0 USE=3D"arts kde openg= l postgres -aac -debug -ifp -ipod -mtp -mysql -njb -noamazon -real -visualization -xinerama (-xmms%)" LINGUAS=3D"-af -ar -az -bg -br -ca -cs -cy -da -de -el -en_GB -es -et -fi -fr -ga -gl -he -hi -hu -is -it -ja -ka -km -ko -lt -ms -nb -nl -nn -pa -pl -pt -pt_BR -ro -ru -rw -sk -sl -sq -sr -sr@Latn -sv -ta -tg -th -tr -uk -uz -zh_CN -zh_TW" 0 kB

root@smoker / #=A0=A0=A0

Maybe that will help.=A0 I use KDE 3.5.5 as well and no problems here.=A0 There has to be something different between us.=A0 I'll help all I can to find out what that difference is, provided someone will give me commands to use.=A0 ;-)
