Subject: [gentoo-user] Blockage problem
Date: Thu, 26 Oct 2006 12:11:33 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <4540A5F5.6000101@akyasociados.com.ar> (raw)

I tried to install Crossover-Office-Pro-Bin and i got the following
blockage message:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[blocks B     ] <=x11-base/xorg-x11-6.9 (is blocking
x11-libs/libXau-1.0.2, x11-libs/libXext-1.0.2, x11-libs/xtrans-1.0.2,
x11-proto/xproto-7.0.8, x11-proto/inputproto-1.3.2,
x11-proto/xextproto-7.0.2, x11-libs/libXdmcp-1.0.2,
x11-libs/libXt-1.0.3, x11-proto/randrproto-1.1.2,

x11-libs/libXrandr-1.1.2, x11-libs/libXmu-1.0.2)

I had similar errors trying to emerge other packages, does this mean
that my modular xorg installation is conflicting with everything, or is
it all the way around and my monolithic xorg is causing trouble (i am
still a novice interpreting portage error messages), or maybe xorg has
not anything to do with it and i am missing something?

Does anyone know what i should do or had a similiar problem?

Thanks in advance!

Rafael
