Every version of the=20 Linux kernel takes up something between 200 and 300 MB (more depending=20 on how you formatted the underlying partition). So if you inadvertently=20 have created a nice archive of kernel sources from the last two years in=20 there, unmerge all the old ones. sys-kernel/gentoo-sources is a slotted=20 install, so each update ADDS the new kernel sources and doesn't remove=20 the old ones.
