I have a Abit NF7 mobo with on board sound and it was sucky.  There was
no mixer support so only one sound at a time.  I went to newegg and got
me a soundblaster card and it is a LOT better.  You may not can but I
thought it worth mentioning so you will not be to disappointed with it.

Now I wish I had saved that old drive with Mandrake on it.  I could post
what I had in my config files.  It did work, just not near as good as
Soundblaster.
