[gentoo-user] hylafaxplus will not start

Is anybody still using Hylafax ?

I'm trying to start hylafaxplus but getting an error:

/etc/init.d/hylafaxplus start
  * Check hylafax server configuration... ...
  * Use spool directory /var/spool/fax
  * Starting HylaFAX server daemons ...
  * Starting /usr/sbin/faxq ...
  * Error on start /usr/sbin/faxq daemon
  * ERROR: hylafaxplus failed to start

Where should I start checking?

Does /usr/sbin/faxq still exist?

Try running it by hand from a command prompt and see what error messages it 
produces. You might need to 'su' to the appropriate user first.

Thanks for suggestion.

I was able to solve it.
checking:  /var/log/syslog
shows:

Mar 28 18:08:21 syscon7 /etc/init.d/hylafaxplus[29745]: start-stop-daemon: /usr/sbin/faxq is already running
Mar 28 18:08:21 syscon7 /etc/init.d/hylafaxplus[29746]: Error on start /usr/sbin/faxq daemon
Mar 28 18:08:21 syscon7 /etc/init.d/hylafaxplus[29724]: ERROR: hylafaxplus failed to start

for some reason hylafax couldn't stop or restart " /usr/sbin/faxq"
running manually:  "/usr/sbin/faxquit"
solved the problem.
