[gentoo-user] Xlib: connection refused by server

I normally login as user A. Sometimes I need to su to user B and run an 
X application (rxvt, gnucash, mozilla...) as user B, but if I do I get a 
"Xlib: Connection refused by server".

I've browsed through man Xsecurity but I can't find an easy way out. If 
I run "xhost +" as user A, user B's rxvt spawns all right, but gnucash 
still reports an error when connecting to gconfd (whatever that is).

Any hint?

I'm running IceWM/xorg on an AMD64 2004.3.

One easy trick is to do ssh -X user@localhost :)
I find that much easier than mucking about with X permissions.
