You are both frightfully correct!

/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules:SUBSYSTEM=="net",
ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:20:a6:60:d7:cb",
ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="ath*", NAME="ath0"

I'll delete it now and see what gives, thank you!  :)
