/dev/video0 is supposed to be my ibm c-it webcam
i've compiled it into my kernel and patched it.
i've compiled in video for linux
but the device is missing since i upgraded from 2.6.9r4 to 2.6.9r9
i forgot to copy my old config when i ran make oldconfig and now i've
messed up both 2.6.9r4 and 2.6.9r9 somehow so i had to go thru the entire
kernel config manually again. I thought i'd compiled the same options but
something is amiss as my /dev/video0 is missing.
how do i recreate it??
thanks,
~P

If you installed your kernel with make install, a copy of each config
will be in /boot.

if configured in the kernel (CONFIG_IKCONFIG_PROC=y) you can also
zcat /proc/config.gz
for the current running kernel

i think i overwrote it or something. doesn't matter...i reconfigured it
manually and it should work unless there's something i'm not dong with
udev properly.
